Kerala Literature Festival 2027

About The Event

Aussie! Aussie! Aussie! What is your favorite thing about Australia? Much like India, Australia carries a literary tradition shaped by many cultures, communities, histories and ways of telling stories. Its roots stretch back thousands of years through First Nations storytelling traditions, alongside the languages, memories and experiences brought by generations of people from across the world. It is a literary landscape that has given us writers we continue to read, admire and celebrate, like Patrick White, Tim Winton, Peter Carey, Helen Garner, Kate Grenville, and many more. Because, much like India , Australia is not one story. It is a multitude of stories, carried across generations. And this January, we are hosting one of those rich literary worlds at KLF.
